Spiritual DirectionThe spiritual activities offered at Ernescliff College are entrusted to the Prelature of Opus Dei, an institution of the Catholic Church.
Saint Josemaría Escríva, the founder of Opus Dei, emphasized in his teaching that every person is called by God to holiness. His message of the sanctification of everyday work is the inspiration behind the activities and services offered by Ernescliff College.
At Ernescliff, the chaplaincy provides those who so desire with help and guidance in expressing and developing their Christian faith. Mass is celebrated every day in the oratory. Courses and seminars on Church teaching and Christian life are organized for various groups of students. The chaplain also leads a weekly meeting for university students in the oratory where he gives commentaries on the Gospel. He preaches recollections twice a month on Saturdays, one for university students and another for high school students. He is also available for personal guidance and to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
