- - - - - -Saturday Activities
Ernescliff hosts a number of activities for high school students starting in Grade 9 each Saturday. The topics are diverse, ranging from Martial Arts to Debating. These are followed by sessions on character formation and team sports.
All our activities are designed to help high school students become competent, generous and responsible leaders who understand that professionalism and excellence are best directed to serving our loved ones and society, rather than merely to obtaining wealth or prestige. We actively encourage the young men at Ernescliff to continue to make their faith the guiding principle behind their daily activity.
The Big Picture Seminar
For Grade 9 students, Ernescliff organizes a year-round leadership course called The Big Picture Seminar. This weekly, interactive seminar takes place on Saturday mornings. Through stories, lively discussions, presentations by university students and professionals, the students form a clear picture of what it means to be a leader and the steps they need to follow in order to attain that goal. Topics include:
- Character development
- Developing integrity, maturity and responsibility
- Public speaking
- Critical reading
- Career goals
- Time management
- Summer plans
- Interacting with family and friends
- Culture, and much more.
Other High School Events
Ernescliff offers many other events throughout the year, especially during the summer. Summer programs include the Big Picture Summer Seminar in Quebec City (See past pictures here) for Grade 9 students and a variety of Service Projects organized all over Canada and abroad.
